New Beginnings
A message from Bradley Bemis, LPC — November 1, 2025
As we approach the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, I'm making several meaningful changes in how I manage my practice and support clients.
Effective November 1, 2025, I am formally launching my private practice — Awakening Into Life — in partnership with Headway, Tava, and SonderMind for clients who prefer to use insurance.
With this transition, I will gradually be stepping away from my current work with Oak River Wellness, allowing my contract to reach its natural conclusion at the end of the year.
Your Path Forward
If you are currently working with me through Oak River Wellness, you have four options available between now and December 31, 2025, as we plan a smooth transition into the new year:
- Continue working with Bradley within his new private practice after December 31, 2025.
- Request assignment to a new therapist within Oak River Wellness.
- Request an external referral to another practice or practitioner.
- End your therapeutic services for this current treatment period.
Over the next few weeks, I'll meet individually with each client — in collaboration with Oak River Wellness — to review these options and support you in making a decision that feels right for you.
As part of this transition, I will also be spinning down my Friday in-office availability through November and encouraging a transition to telehealth before we enter into December. I will no longer be available in the office after November 28, 2025, as all client sessions will move to my fully integrated virtual practice platform.
You are in control of your path, and I will honor and respect any direction you choose. My priority remains your well-being, continuity of care, and ensuring that this transition is thoughtful, transparent, and well-supported, no matter which path you take.
Expanding the Vision
With this change, I am also opening my practice to include a wider range of offerings — continuing to provide support for mental health and addiction counseling for clients residing in Colorado. Over the coming months, I'll be completing my Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential, becoming fully EMDR-trained, and qualifying as a clinical supervisor so that I can begin building a training-focused practice for future clinicians — all grounded in a contemplative and embodied context.
Between April and June 2026, I plan to develop a small clinical training team to help manage and support more clients under my guidance and supervision. I'm also working to be paneled directly with Colorado Medicaid by the end of 2025, ensuring continued access to care for under-served communities as we move into the new year.
Over the past few months, I've also been working intensely to bring all of this to life: launching a new website, implementing a fully HIPAA-compliant technology stack, and building the infrastructure to accept insurance independently through Headway, Tava, and SonderMind. It's been a major undertaking — but we're nearly there. You can already explore much of it at awakeningintolife.com, including a newly published chapter from my upcoming book.
All of this reflects the next evolution of my work — a practice that operates the way I operate, that flows in the way I flow — informed by over two decades of leadership and entrepreneurship in the business and cybersecurity world, and shaped by years of deep clinical and contemplative practice.
I am truly excited to see this vision, years in the making, beginning to form — and I'm so grateful to be on this journey with all of you. And no matter what direction you decide to go in (if you are an ORW client), my life is richer for having had the opportunity to engage with you.
If you have any questions about your care or next steps, please just send me a quick text and we can get you squared away.
