Practice Update: 1 July 2026

As we reach the halfway point of 2026, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past six months and share a few updates about the practice.

First and foremost, thank you.

Every person who has entrusted me with their story has made this practice possible. Your willingness to show up authentically, engage in difficult conversations, and continue moving toward healing is the reason Awakening Into Life exists. It is a privilege to walk alongside you.

Every day I have the privilege of witnessing people reconnect with themselves, becoming more grounded, more present, and more at home in their own bodies and lives. Watching clients move from simply surviving toward genuinely thriving continues to be one of the greatest honors of my professional life.

A Busy First Half of 2026

January 1 marked the official launch of Awakening Into Life, LLC as my full-time private practice. Since then, the practice has continued to grow steadily. We built momentum throughout the first quarter of the year, found a sustainable rhythm during the spring, and are now entering the second half of 2026 with exciting improvements and new services.

What began as a vision has become a growing practice because of the trust and commitment of the people I have the privilege to serve.

Behind the scenes, I’ve spent hundreds of hours refining the practice, not only improving the clinical experience, but also making it easier to access care, schedule appointments, navigate insurance, and communicate securely.

A New Insurance Benefit Checking Service

One of the largest additions this summer is a new partnership with Mentaya.

If your insurance is out-of-network, or if I’m not directly contracted with your insurance company, Mentaya may be able to help you use your out-of-network benefits.

The process is designed to make reimbursement significantly easier for clients. You can quickly check your benefits before scheduling to estimate what your insurance may reimburse. For eligible claims, Mentaya manages the reimbursement process on your behalf. They charge a small service fee only when using their reimbursement service, and they offer a money-back guarantee if they are unable to obtain reimbursement according to the terms of their program.

You can explore your eligibility directly from the Start Here page on my website:

My hope is that this gives more people access to therapy, even when I am not directly in-network with their insurance plan.

Expanded Medicaid Access

I’m also pleased to share that I have been approved as a provider with Health First Colorado (Colorado Medicaid) for Colorado Access – Region 4, and those services are now available.

Applications for the remaining primary Colorado Medicaid regions are still pending. Based on current processing timelines, I do not anticipate additional approvals until sometime after the end of this year.

As those applications are approved, I will continue updating the website and notifying clients as additional coverage becomes available.

My goal remains to make quality mental health care as accessible as possible while continuing to provide personalized, high-quality clinical services.

Professional Growth

Continuing education has remained a major focus this year.

During 2026, I have:

  • Completed EMDR Training
  • Earned Board Certification in Telemental Health (BC-TMH)
  • Earned the Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential in Colorado

My goal has always been simple: continue becoming a better therapist. Every course, certification, and supervised training experience expands the ways I can serve clients with greater skill, confidence, and compassion.

Other Practice Updates

I’ve also updated my availability.

I am now seeing clients Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM, generally offering appointments throughout both the afternoon and evening.

Even with expanded availability, schedules occasionally fill quickly.

If you are an existing client and cannot find a time that works for you, please don’t assume nothing is available.

I often have flexibility that isn’t reflected on the online scheduler, and I’m happy to see whether we can find a time that works for both of us.

Just send me a text. If I have flexibility, I’ll do my best to find a time that works for both of us.

You can reach me at:

(720) 255-1195

This number connects directly with Spruce, my HIPAA-compliant client communication platform. Clients may choose whether or not to enable encrypted messaging based on their preferences, and I’ll continue using this system for appointment reminders and routine communication.

Looking Ahead

The second half of 2026 will bring additional improvements to the website, the intake process, and the overall client experience. My goal is to remove as many barriers to care as possible so that clients can spend less energy navigating logistics and more energy focusing on the work that truly matters.

As the practice continues to grow, I have also begun planning for its next stage of development.

Over the coming quarter, I hope to welcome the practice’s first W-2 supervised clinician. This marks an important step toward the long-term vision of building a clinician-owned practice that remains personal, relational, trauma-informed, and committed to high-quality care.

While there is still work to be done before this becomes a reality, I am looking forward to expanding access to high-quality mental health services while providing meaningful supervision and professional development for emerging clinicians.

I look forward to what we’ll continue building together during the remainder of 2026.
